The vehicle swept up five World Rally Championship first place finishes and over a dozen top ten finishes to come out the unquestioned victor of the year. Not bad at all for a car with just a four cylinder engine! Victories were achieved at Monte Carlo, the Tour de Corse, New Zealand, and Sanremo.
